Linda Castro
Actress, living in southern California. Studied acting in Lansing, MI, San Diego, CA, the University of California in Irvine, and the MFA program at Cal State Univ., Long Beach where she also taught theatre classes. She has appeared on a variety of network television shows in co-starring roles, as well as over 60 professional stage productions. She is the recipient of several Best Actress and other Critics awards in San Diego, CA; St. Petersburg, FL; and even Cleveland, OH. Linda served on the board of directors for a variety of arts organizations, including: Playwrights Projects of San Diego; 6th @ Penn Theatre; Actors Alliance of San Diego, and Chronos Theatre. She co-founded Grassroots Greeks, a theatrical organization dedicated to doing public readings of all 32 or so extant Greek tragedies. Grassroots Greeks won three critics awards and not only accomplished it's mission, but went beyond, by performing at schools and colleges as well as for private groups. Chronos Theatre is an offshoot of Grassroots Greeks, which performs staged readings of other classical material from around the world and of various genres.
